Hello, I had a medical abortion which was not successful then was advised to go for an evacuation which I did and I bled for 6 weeks, following a scan, I was told I had retained products of conception. I eventually had to redo the evacuation which was recently but now am currently bleeding again, my stomach is bloated and I feel dizzy slot followed by some mild discomfort in my stomach. Pls I need an advice.

    1. Hello Rachel, please do another scan to find out how things have progressed, these symptoms and signs could mean a lot of things. Do a scan and then your doctor will help you determine what to do thereafter.

  8. I had a medical abortion (miffepriston+Misoprostol) one month ago and I was bleeding frequently. And recently I was bleeding like nothing. I went near a doctor last night and doctor told me water bag is still there. And I have to go through a surgery. And if I do the surgery I can’t go for a normal birth again. Do I really have to do the surgery, isn’t there any other way to remove my water bag, and is it true I can’t do normal birth again.

  11. I was 5 weeks pregnant and had surgical abortion. Its been a week now. I’m experiencing Slight bleeding and cramps. Also constipation. Bleeding has stopped now but I still have mild cramps. I read around that it is normal. I also had sex 5 days after abortion despite being told to wait and everything is still normal and this normalcy is freaking me out instead. I wish to just be in pain and get it over with instead of nothing happening and worrying me why I am not suffering like the others.

  14. I am 12 weeks pregnant. I inserted 4 Misoprostal in my vagina & the next morning had a bleeding. The bleeding stopped at around 3pm the next day.I went for Ultrasound 2 days after that bleeding & the doctor found out that the baby is still alive.
    I went to another clinic in which they used D&C to insert a sharp object to disturb the blood sac that holds the baby.
    That afternoon I bled a little it continued the next day but mostly with no pads as it was light.I’m confused did I successful abort?

  15. My girlfriend stealthily went to a city clinic to abort an 8 week pregnancy. She came back in pain and tells me the Dr. there inserted three tabs (didn’t name) in her uterus and administered one under her tongue. She bled for a day and bleeding has now stopped. She has left for campus walking visibly with pain. I am worried as to what to do?

Hi I just had an abortion pill under the supervision of a gynecologist yesterday, I was in hospital the whole day from morning to evening,at the final scan she said tids and bits are still left around 1mm.she asked me to come after a weeks time for scan. Would this come out in a weeks time or would again lead to a G&C?
