  1. Hi. I had a medical abortion on Feb 17. I was about 4 and a half weeks pregnant. I bled more like a heavy period for about 3 days and it got lighter. Now all there is is spotting. I took a preg test today and it showed positive. I still feel tired all the time and go to the bathroom often. Is this normal? Or am i still pregnant?

    1. Hello Katie, your HCG levels will still be high in your urine which does not mean you are still pregnant. Retest for pregnancy in 10 days.

    1. Hello Asia, your checkup will tell if you are still pregnant. If you are no longer pregnant then you should not be throwing up regularly.

    1. Hello Rana, for some women this goes on for up to 2 months until the start of a period.

  10. Hi. I had a medical abortion on the 10th of febuary and I bled for three days coupled with spotting. I went for an ultrasound on the 13th of febuary and it was confirmed that my uterus was empty.. fast forward to this week, I took a pregnancy test and its positive coupled with the fact that im still bloated, breast still full and heavy and slight cramping in my lower abdomen. Could I still be pregnant?

    1. Hello Andriel, your HCG levels might still be a bit high hence the positive pregnancy test. Please retest in about 10 days.

  11. Hi, I had medical abortion on feb 25, 12mn. My LPM was jan 26. Assuming 3-4weeks pregnant, had positive thru serum test on Feb. 23. Few hours after bleeding with clots, cramps and diarrhea, a huge clot (dark red and some light pink tissues) came out of me together with the pills I inserted. I dont know if it was the embryo that’s forming. After it came out, got light bleeding to spotting. Today, I only have whitish-yellowish discharge, I can still feel pregnancy symptoms but not that strong. I had PT today, 7 days after the abortion but got positive. Was my abortion successful?

    1. Hello Nics, abortion might have been successful but HCG levels high. Please retest for pregnancy after 20 days just to be sure.

  12. Hi, I was taking misoprostol when I was 6 weeks pregnant. After 8 hours I felt belly cramping associated with a heavy bleeding with a blood cloth or mass tissue coming out for 1 day. The next day, bleed become lighter and lighter. After 1 week when the bleeding stop, we had sex with my hubby again then I bleed afterwards so he stop. But those days spotting continue. Around 8 days, I do the pregnancy test again and it test positive. So we both worried and frightened because after taking misoprostol and other pain reliever I still test positive. He tell’s me that okay, because you are still pregnant then we will keep the baby. Without any contraception we still continue to having sex at time until 11 weeks. Because we are both uncomfortable, we decided to go to the ob-gyne. They do ultrasound trough pelvic examination and transviginal untrasound but they didn’t see anything even the sac. So they let me go home saying maybe I have a miscarriage or ectopic pregnancy. Now I was very worried because today I feel some pain strikes on my right lower pelvis associated with back pain and sometimes I feel dizzy. My next check will be next week but right now i was so worried. Please help

    1. Hello Bhelle, they are right, this might be an ectopic pregnancy. If your symptoms get very bad then see a doctor ASAP.

    1. Hello Anne, once the correct dosages of both medication were correctly taken, then all should be well.

  16. Hi last feb 25 i took 2 tablets of cytotec and after 2 hours the bleeding starts with clots. And i didnt take the next dose. I only bleed for one day then spot for the next day then the spotting was stop.
    I get pregnancy test last march 9 and it was positive.
    And now i felt Some cramps.
    Do i have a continuing pregnancy?

    1. Hi there Lhyn, it seems as though you didn’t take the pills as you were suppose to. You mentioned not taking a dose. Yes, you might still be pregnant.

    1. Hello Ishita, your cycle and flow might be irregular a while after an abortion. This seems to be what is happening with you.

    1. Hello Gloria, please retest for pregnancy in 7 days time. If it still shows positive then see your doctor.

  20. I took abortion pill on March 7th and other 4 pills on March 8th….recently i noticed that my feet and legs are swollen….i have some water retention, is this a result of the abortion, is it normal?
