  1. Hi I had an abortion on July and I haven’t missed any period . My worry is my blood since the abortion it Is Dark with clots and every time I’m on my periods I’m having back pains which is new

    1. Hello Buhle, for some people symptoms do change around this time. Hopefully it will be normalized.

    My girl friend had an abortion on 23rd of Oct 2017,and she used to see her period not later than 14-15 of each month ,yet her period has not come.

  9. 2 months ago I had an abortion with the pills. I got a normal period after 3 weeks, but for some reason I’m light bleeding again. It’s like a mucous pinkish reddish blood.     1. Hello Veronica, these changes might be as a result of the abortion if they weren’t happening pre-abortion.

  16. I was barely 5 weeks and took an abortion pill on Friday 27th of October around 5pm I didn’t see any blood that night.
    Saturday morning I went to ease myself and lots of blood came tru even with blood clots. Few hours later I went to ease myself and blood cm tru but it was fewer than the first time
    Tru out that day I saw few blood stains, smelled like fresh blood and it stopped
    On Sunday I didn’t see blood and only brown discharge
    On Monday I saw a clear white discharge
    Pls is dis a sign that the pill worked
    I don’t feel the morning sickness and all but my stomach used to be flat but now it’s not anymore
    Is it just my head playing with me
    I was told to use antibiotics and take hot stuffs but yet no blood
    I thought I’ll see blood for 12 days
    I’m about to use d pill again
    I’m confused

    1. Hello D.fol, I wouldn’t advise the use of the pill again. Once used once and taken correctly it should be effective. All women abort with different symptoms.

  17. I got an abortion on 9/16. My first period after my abortion started on 10/24. It was supposed to go off on Sunday. The first 3 days I think I bled extra heavy. Friday I hardly bled at all. Sunday it stopped but then came back somewhat heavy during sex. Monday I was spotting. Now it seems like it’s come back 🤔 what should I do? I’ve had my period a week now?

    Am I not meant to see blood for at least 9 days
    Does it mean that the pill didn’t work?
    Should I take another pill?

    1. Hi there Folz, all women abort differently, you do not necessarily have to bleed for over a day.

    1. Hello Inibehe, once you have protected sex you should not have conceived. Your symptoms might be totally unrelated.
